John Cappello // Writer, Director, Executive Producer, Editor, Animator, and more.
John Cappello is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker who has produced videos for brands such as Conde Nast, Comedy Central, HitRecord, Bon Appetit, Epicurious, Vanity Fair, Sundance Film Festival, and more. John primarily works in post-production as an Editor & Animator. Videos that he has worked on have garnered millions of views across YouTube and other platforms, which is something he feels inclined to brag about in professional bios.
John is also a passionate creator of comics, and for years he wrote, illustrated, and colored comic books. In many ways, “Floppies” is a culmination of his various passions. See examples of his fine art skills as well as his professional video work through the link below.

Jake Laurence // Actor
Jake Laurence is a born and bred New York based actor. He has studied and performed at many of the city’s esteemed theater schools, including HB Studio and The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute (where he graduated from their Conservatory Program.) Jake has a number of credits in film and theater. He most recently can be seen in the feature film ‘Goodbye Honey’ which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime. He is excited to be a part of the poignant story of “Floppies,” for which he plays the main protagonist Cole.

Travis Dover moved to New York in 2016. He is grateful to have met John in 2017 and have had the opportunity to work on “Floppies.”

James Laurence // Actor
James Laurence is a writer, actor, and producer. His play and screenwriting credits include his play, The Top Floor, adapted into a screenplay and made into a film in which he also acted. The film was produced by Thomas Kail and Backhouse Productions. He acted in and directed a one man show, Night Man at the Sardi Building, which was written specifically for hm by the noted playwright John Ford Noonan and produced by Eric Krebs at the Houseman Theatre. This was also made into a film.
Along with their most recent collaboration acting together in Floppies, James and Jake also worked together on The Winds of Heaven, a short film adapted from William Shakespeare’s Hamlet by Jake, which was accepted in the Chelsea Film Festival in 2021. He was the director and James acted in and produced the project. James enjoys the role of actor/producer having produced and acted in 3 plays in the 80’s – Tom Babe’s Billy Irish, William Hauptman’s Domino Court and Bruce King’s Dustoff.

Donna Morales // Producer, Actor
Native to Long Island, Donna has always had a passion for telling stories through varied mediums such as dance, theater, film and narrative storytelling. A 25- year career as an Early Childhood Educator for NYC Dept of Education helped sharpen her skills as an actress. She grew to be a character actress with a wide range, appearing in productions at the community, regional theater and recently Off Off Broadway levels. Donna’s film career began with her first Industrial video in 2016 for the NYC Dept of Ed. Her most recent film credits includes Renters(2022) and Life of a Modern Seer (2022) ,Naomi and The Reckoning(2022), Floppies(2021), Alternative (2021), Crooked(2021), Where’s The Will(2020).
TV credits include Lark & Spur (2021), Manhattan South Pilot (2021),
Lockdown Living(2021), Judge Dad(2021) and Jade&Jaded(2020).
Donna has an active role, as a judge, with the NY Long Island Film Festival(NYLIFF) team of partners. Being actively involved with the production of a film festival has enhanced her education, about the film making industry, and allowed her to further collaborate with fellow film makers, actors, directors and producers. Upcoming projects Spring (2022) include a full length play written by David Bellantoni, titled “TOP FLOOR” to be produced by ATC Studios NYC and performed late April.

Christine Stoddard // Producer, Actor
Christine Stoddard is a Salvadoran-American writer, director, performer, and multi-hyphenated artist creating books, films, plays, paintings, etc. She directed the feature film Sirena's Gallery and authored the books Heaven is a Photograph, Desert Fox by the Sea, and Water for the Cactus Woman, among others. In June 2022, she will be directing her play "Mi Abuela, Queen of Nightmares" at the Gene Frankel Theatre in NYC for its premiere; the play won a national playwriting award and was published by Table Work Press in 2020. Previously, she was the first-ever artist-in-residence at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House in Manhattan and an AnkhLave Arts Alliance fellow at the Queens Botanical Garden. She is the founder of Quail Bell Press & Productions, including Quail Bell Magazine.
